Ira Hudson Lesser Yellowlegs

Ira D. Hudson (1873-1949) Chincoteague, VA, c. 1910 9 3/4 in. long

A classic Hudson form with a plump belly and thin reaching neck. The petite scale of this decoy is less common for the maker. Original paint with gunning wear, replaced bill with touch-up to face, flattened on bottom, and old putty fill to tail.
