William "Bill" Joeckel (1921-2010) Islip Terrace, Long Island, NY 18.5" long

Hollow carved with a bold body and relief carved wings and side pockets. Bill Joeckel Decoys brand on bottom. In addition to being a renowned decoy carver and collector, Bill was a WWII and Korean War US Army veteran, a commercial waterman, a hunter, a fisherman, and a trainer of retriever field trial champions.

Condition: Very good and original with even wear from use, primarily as paint rubs on the right wing
