Obediah Verity (1813-1901) Seaford, Long Island, NY, c. 1875 9 in. long
An extremely rare Verity species, this classic Seaford decoy carving has a clean and ornate plumage design and a rich red back with tight stippling. This is one of, if not, the plumpest Verity turnstones to have ever come to market. Old paint with moderate gunning wear and some roughness to bill.
