The catalog record
Augustus Wilson (1864-1950) South Portland, ME, c. 1930 A pair of goldeneyes with raised wings, incised tail feathers, carved eyes and by-design pivoting, moveable heads. As the waves off the Maine coast rocked these decoys, the heads were designed to swivel and give the rig a more life-like appearance. Original paint with minimal gunning wear.
