The catalog record
John Glenn (1876-1954) Rock Hall, MD, c. 1925 These whimsical birds have a second coat of paint applied by the maker and display a nicely aged surface. Fine paint and carving detail on wings.
The edge of the hen’s right wing has been slightly cut, slight seam separation on the hen where the head meets the body and also where the wings meet the body. Large even sections of craquelure across the body of both, minor flaking on the bottom of the drake. Both birds are mounted on their original finials.
