Sean Sutton Bufflehead Drake

Rare opportunity to acquire a working decoy from Sean's personal hunting rig. The slightly oversized decoy is hollow, intricately carved, and beautifully painted in oils. The head is slightly turned off to the right and has upper mandible carved details. The perimeter of the crest is faintly rasped for texture with a similar application used under the neck. The body is well sculpted with pocketing and feather details delineating the wings. The bottom side is keeled and is signed by Sean, and he wrote 'Rig bird' in ink on the underside.

Condition: Original with light gunning wear to include some dents on the left side and paint rubs. Paint has tightened across the breast.
