The drake bears the following inked inscription on the underside: "Mammoth Drake Canvasback / Made by Norris E. Pratt / Kemblesville Pa / Painted by L. T. Ward / Crisfield, Md. 1961." The hen bears the following inked inscription on the underside: "Mammoth Hen Canvasback / Made by Norris E. Pratt / Kemblesville Pa / Painted by L. T. Ward / Crisfield, Md. 1961 / White pine from covered bridge over Big Elk Creek / 1/2 mile west of Cowertown Md / 3 miles up the creek above Elkton Md." Original paint with minimal wear.
