Mike Borrett Flying Mallard Pair

Flying Mallard Pair Mike Borrett (b. 1960) Madison, WI, 2008 Drake: 21" long x 21.5" wingspan Hen: 21" long x 19.5" wingspan Beautifully wooden carved matched pair of flying Mallards. Sculpted to have highly realistic bodies. The cupping wings are gouge carved topside and bottom. The flight feathers are all individually relief carved. The carved feet are inserted into the bodies. Not missing any details the bills are finely carved with details on both sides and the drake having tail curl feathers. The off center hang point allows it to appear entirely natural unlike many of his fliers which have center hang points. Signed and dated by the maker on the top of one flight feather on each bird. Condition: Near mint with minimal wear
