Hurley Conklin (1913-1983) Manahawkin, NJ 17" long
Fine condition and very interesting five-piece shorebird for this maker. The decoy body is made of two hollow halves that come together lengthwise. A top that sits a two-piece head carved in the same manner, with a long bill splined through the back of the head.
Condition: Near mint, a couple small, tiny paint flakes where the bill meets the face and a couple tight paint lines where the body and head seams are.
