Elmer Crowell Miniature Pintail Pair

A. Elmer Crowell (1862-1952) East Harwich, MA, c. 1930 Base 5.5" long | Pintail Drake 5.25" long

Ever so slightly larger than usual double mount in a harder to find species. Both are nicely painted and certainly come from the earlier period of the rectangular stamp era. The drake is in a slightly more racy pose with a thin neck and a swift upward tail sprig. Bears the rectangular stamp on the bottom.

Provenance: Direct from the descendants of the family members who purchased it from Crowells shop.

Condition: Generally very good and original. Drake has a reset neck crack, and the hen is missing a chip from her tail that has been darkened. There are small areas of paint loss mostly on the tip of the drakes sprig and bill.
