Stevens Bros Bluebill Cut In Half

Stevens Factory Weedsport, NY, c. 1870 13 1/2 in. long

Henry Bishop and Dr. Peter Muller, the author of "The Stevens Brothers" book, were good friends. It is believed that they found a rig of bluebills and decided to cut one in half to literally understand Stevens carvings inside and out. As found with body cut in half and head loose.
