Very rare rigmate pair of canvasbacks. Hollow carved with comb feather paint detail on both. “JF” branded in underside of hen for the collection of Joe French. Like most Joe French birds, there is writing visible only under UV light. Measure 15.75” long.

Provenance

Two of a dozen made for the Senachwine Club in 1918. Joe French purchased from the club’s caretaker, Frank Cotton Echard, in 1955. Joe French collection. Jim and Diane Cook collection.
