Highly decorative carving for this maker in a unique size. The head is turned off to the left and has small glass eyes and bill carved details. The hollow carved body shows off some of George's premier level detailing efforts. The wings are sculpted on the body creating a mid back line that triangles at the base of the neck. The side pockets are carved and flow back to 5 primary carved feathers on each side which bevel down to the raised and crossed wing tips high above the fluted tail feathers. The underside is signed in pen by the maker and bears his small and not often used Strunk knife making brand just under the signature.

Condition: Mint
