Orlando "Os" Bibber (1882-1970) South Harpswell. ME, c. 1915 An outstanding coastal Maine decoy with a sleek, stylized form, a turned head displaying painted eyes, incised bill outline, and the maker's wide, long-tailed body pattern. In "The Great Book of Wildfowl Decoys," John Dinan writes, "Bibber's birds are the best carvings on the coast..." He made decoys for his own use and not many are known. Original paint with gunning wear and a bill tip chip.
