Ken Harris Magnum Mallard Drake

Ken Harris (1905-1981) Woodville, NY, c. 1964 18.25" long

Solid bodied magnum sized decoy. Hard to find size, and due to the profound weight compared to other Harris decoys, it's understandable why fewer of these decoys were made. The elongated body is covered in some of Harris' best paint with tight combed feathering on the sides. The head is slightly turned off to the left with classic cut eye grooves and minimalist bill detailing. Retains the original keel and the makers white ink stamp.

Condition: Original with light gunning wear in the form of some spots of paint rubs on the flanks as well as on the bill and tail edges.
