Don Allen Five Decorative Shorebirds

Don Allen c. 1977 With carved and wood-burned feather detail, realistic feet and legs, and a muted hand-painted finish. The group was displayed in 1977 at a National Park Service exhibit in the tidal basin at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. Consisting of three curlew sandpipers, one black-bellied plover, and a stilt sandpiper. Each base is signed by the artist. In very good condition.
