The catalog record
Joseph Lincoln (1859-1938) Accord, MA, c. 1926 A rare brant decoy with a two-piece body, tack eyes, and an oak inletted bill. The body is joined by three large wood screws covered with wooden pegs. The oak inletted bill and two-piece body construction would have taken more extensive efforts by the maker, hence this form was not made in large numbers, and these birds almost never come on the market.
Strong original paint has light gunning wear and even craquelure. Slight body seam separation.
