William S. Johnson Virginia Beach, VA Drake 7" | Hen 6"

Exceptionally well carved and painted matched pair of pintails. The drake has an applied sprig tail and the hen has an uplifted head with an open calling mouth and a carved tongue. Both have raised and crossed wing tips and tiny tack eyes. The undersides are signed and have William's WJ insignia carved in.

As a life-long waterfowl enthusiast, Bill volunteered and eventually became the director of the Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum from 1995-1998. Condition: Excellent and original
