The catalog record
Harry V. Shourds (1861-1920) Tuckerton, NJ, c. 1900 16 1/2 in. long
The rarity of the slightly turned head is notable, as Shourds made virtually all of his decoys pointing in a straight line. The sides have strong original striping, and the underside has a small "WGG" brand. Original paint with even gunning wear including some flaking on back and old touch-up to reset neck crack.
