Tad Beach Whimbrel

A scarce, full sized piece from Beach, this “wings up” whimbrel displays impeccable attention to detail with excellent form, individual feather carvings, lifelike feet, and outstanding original paint throughout. Not a feather out of place, and mounted on a nice wooden display with driftwood and artificial reed grass. This exact carving is pictured on page 11 of the Summer 1979 issue of North American Decoys. 13” wingtip to wingtip. 10” bill to tail. 19” total height 17x11” base perimeter.
