Unique wood duck plaque made from a 3/4 size challenge grade wood duck drake with extended crest. Wood duck measures just under 10" long, plaque is 7" x 12".
Provenance
This wood duck plaque, a black duck and two merganser plaques, are the only known items of their kind from the Mason Factory. They came from the estate of Duncan Sills (1883-1916) of Detroit. Sills was a painter at the Mason Factory and these plaques remained in the family until 2006. Peter and Diana Bennett collection.
