Cameron McIntyre (b. 1968) New Church, VA 24 3/4 in. long
A grand hollow preening goose with a root head and a raised wing that was carved from the same block as the top half of the decoy. The hand-hewn underside of the hollow body is signed with an incised "CTM." This is one of only two of this style made, and it showcases McIntyre's command of both form and surface. Original paint and wear.
