Signed and dated 1978 on underside, and personalized to Dr. Herrington. Each has the head turned back and resting. Female's bill is carved open. Both wings are outstretched, with each feather individually carved and textured. Both appear to be made from a single piece of wood. This is the finest level of work made by Oliver Lawson. Longest measures 16".
