Wendell Gilley (1904-1983) Southwest Harbor, ME c.1965 5.75" tall
Bright and colorful folky paint for this bird that he gifted to Susan in 1965. Occasionally Wendell would make special gifts for Summering neighbors. This isn't the first example we've seen as gifted to a Susan though we don't know who she was. Signed and dated by Wendell on the underside.
Condition: Very good and original with a few tiny paint flakes.
