Joseph W. Lincoln (1859-1938) Accord, MA, c. 1910

The catalog record
Joseph W. Lincoln (1859-1938) Accord, MA, c. 1910 17 in. long
The rarity of this refined scoter model is significant, with possibly only three other examples known to have surfaced in any condition. Lincoln made four other scoter models with far less refinement, including canvas and self-bailing forms. This decoy showcases Lincoln's best carving, including the thin neck and precise bill carving. Excellent original paint with light gunning wear. Crack along underside and professional restoration to small bill tip chip.
