Exceptionally well sculpted and painted decorative decoy. Content pose with life-like posture, Jim managed to capture the natural beauty of this species.

The bill is carved with near life-like precision containing more detail on the underside than the top. The head is turned to the left and softly rasped which flows down through the breast and sides providing feathering texture across the body. The side pockets are carved with a soft center back groove providing dimension to the wings. Multiple primary feathers are carved out and textured while resting atop raised and crossed wing tips. Tail feathers are carved in a step down pattern. many of the carved wings across the body bear a scattering of small cuts to show natural imperfection in birds wing feathers.

Underside is signed and dated with the species name.

Condition: Near mint with some small spots of discoloration on the flanks and a rub on the non displaying side.
