The catalog record
A. Elmer Crowell (1862-1952) East Harwich, MA, c. 1930 13 1/4 in. long
As blue-winged teal are primarily a warm weather duck, Crowell made very few of this species. Indeed, this may be the only life-sized pair to have surfaced. The pair was likely commissioned to join a Southern gunning rig. These teal display turned heads, excellent blended paint, and the maker's rectangular stamp on the undersides. Excellent original paint with light gunning wear. Each has small area of touch-up to front edge of neck seams.
