Beautifully carved miniature black duck in George's decoy style. The miniature is a perfectly scaled down replica of his full size works and is crafted in the exact same quality. It's sculpturally elegant, hollow carved, finely painted and bears the perfect amount of carved detail to bring it to life. The underside bears a scaled down lead pad weight and leather line tie. The underside is signed and bears George's small knife making stamp.

Did you know that the rattling heard in the cavity of the decoy is often broken nail heads that George put inside before sealing? For astute collectors, take notice to the tiny preening duck brand on the lead pad weight with 'STRUNK' in the middle, this is a rarely used stamp that George had made earlier on when he made a few knives.
