Keith Mueller Working Bufflehead Decoy

Highly detailed working decoy by 7x World Champion decoy and bird carver, Keith Mueller. The hollow carved decoy has a rasped surface everywhere but the bill and very underside of the tail. This time consuming technique provides ample life-like texture and realism to the bird. It is accurately sculpted with the tufted head, side pockets, and raised wings. Numerous primary feathers are carved in detail on the backside with individual tail feathers being carved in detailed step down pattern as well.

The underside bears the MUELLER brand and the original keel.

Condition: Near mint, some tiny dark age dots and a small spot of paint rub on the top of the head
