Miles Hancock Merganser Pair

Miles Hancock (1888-1974) Chincoteague Island, VA, c. 1940 Hen is in original paint with some paint loss where head meets the body, a small chip out of the back of the neck seat, even craquelure across the brown back of the body, some flaking mostly around the breast and back of the bird, tight crack runs the length of the bottom of the bird. Drake has a second coat of working paint by the maker, some seam separation where the head meets the body, crack runs the length of the underside of the body.
