Elmer Crowell Preening Pintail

A. Elmer Crowell (1862-1952) East Harwich, MA, c. 1910 17 ½ by 6 ¼ by 7 in.

Pre-brand In very good original paint with a nice warm patina; paint flake missing at the nail hole on the top of the neck; minor flaking under left wing and to the right side of the decoy. Tight check along the bottom of the bird runs from the heartwood of the breast to the tail; small chip to top of tail tip, 3/16 inches by ¾ inches, has been darkened.
