David Simandl (1926-1973) Caro, MI 17.25" long

Large and detailed goldeneye decoy. Black tuft lines on the sides are deeply carved in as are the carved wing tips in the raised wing tips. A deep midline runs down the back and separates the two wing tips. The tail feathers are gouged out. Glass eyes, carved line where the bill meets the face. Sponge feathering around the underside.

Condition: Near mint, a couple tiny dents in the back and some paint has thinned on the top of the head.
