George Strunk Hooded Merganser Pair

George Strunk (b.1958) Glendora, NJ 12" long

Delightful matched pair of hooded mergansers. Hollow carved with classic raised 'V' wing tips and carved tail feathers. The paint is exact and the drake has very tight comb feathering on the sides. The drakes head is alert and turned off to the left, with the resting hen having her waving crest tucked low into her back. Both have glass eyes, carved bill details, and are fully rigged for use. The bottoms bear George's signature and carry the 'R. Kobli' stamp in the lead pad for Ron's Wildlife Art Gallery. Condition: Excellent and original
