George Strunk (b.1958) Glendora, NJ c.1997 12" long

Hollow carved Hooded Merganser drake in a striking pose reared back head pose. Nicely painted with scratch feather paint on the sides. Accurately sculpted head, with bill carved details, and body with the unique Delaware River style raised 'V' wing tips and fluted tail feathers. The underside is rigged and weighted for use. Signed and dated below the G STRUNK stamped lead pad weight.

Condition: Near mint with minimal shelf wear and a small flake of black paint missing from the right edge of the beak.
