Ken Harris (1905-1981) Woodville, NY 15.5" long
Excellent example of one of Ken's magnum hollow bottom decoys. Meant to ride the rough waves of Lake Ontario and it's large bays, including Chaumont Bay, the largest fresh water bay in the world all while proving to be a lesser weight burden on the hunter. Broad back and nice paint including fine vermiculation across the back. Turned head and glass eyes. Two slots were milled out of the bottom to reduce weight and provide for a better handle. Bears the makers large white ink stamp on the bottom. Condition: Very good and original seeing little use. Provenance: Sampie Sutton Family Collection
